FAQ

What is your photography style?

I have a very natural and relaxed style, I try to document your wedding day as it unfolds. The day goes by so fast, the more naturally captured images you have the better as it tells a truer story of the day when you see it in your printed album. Memories to enjoy for years to come.
*Same goes for Lifestyle and Behind the scenes shoots, Keeping it as natural as possible, so you can tell your story visually.

Do you do posed shots?

Majority of my work is candit and as it is happening on the wedding day, this has proved to be more popular with my couples than stiff posed shots. However there are some staged shots as there needs to be some structure and order to your images with family and bridal party. I always try to do your family images after the ceremony as everyone is there and then leaves your family free to go to your venue at their own leisure, plus it leaves more time for couple portraits and mingling with your guests.
*Lifestyle and Behind the scenes shoots are directed to get the pose but still as natural as we can be.

How soon do I have to book my wedding?

Advisably, as soon as you have your venue booked! I only book 15-20 weddings a year so the popular dates go quickly. If you have me in mind for your wedding, contact me sooner rather than later as I hate to disappoint anyone.

What if it rains on my wedding day?

To be honest this doesn’t bother me anymore!! I used to worry about the weather coming up to a wedding, until I was shooting a wedding that it literally rained the full day, thankfully the bride and groom were not going to let a little rain spoil their day and proceeded to go out with an umbrella and we got the most amazing images with a really dramatic grey sky!! Sometimes finding a cosy dry spot can make the images more intimate and personal. Don’t worry I would only take the couple out not the full bridal party, them and the family images can be captured inside the venue. It will always work out, trust your photographer!!

Can you go to the groom as well as the bride on the morning of the wedding?

If the bride and groom are within 10 minutes away from each other on the morning then yes I can go to the groom too. Normally I only go to the brides house and then capture the groom at the ceremony before the bride arrives. If the couple want the groom preparations captured and I am too far away then a 2nd shooter will need to be booked at your initial booking, this is an additional charge, they will cover the groom preparations and extra guest images throughout the day.
