When you get back to another family wedding.

I absolutely love it when I get recommended to a family member or friend by a past couple. I feel it is the highest compliment I can get. That is my ultimate goal - to capture the memories and emotions of the day that they want to recommend me to someone planning their wedding.

I met Shauna a few years ago and she had seen me at her cousin Claire's wedding before that (one of the wettest weddings I have ever shot and one of the best ones, all thanks to a Claire and Colin for embracing the rain!).

It was a pleasure to work with Shauna and Paddy. It was a brilliant wedding day full of details and memories created by the couple themselves. It is important to pick a location for your bridal portraits that is meaningful to you. Lissan House was local to Shauna and where she had fond memories of her childhood. A stunning 400 year old historical building with original features, a beautiful venue and backdrop for your wedding photos. The out buildings won me over straight away. It was like an Aladdin's cave of pretty old crumbly rooms, with another brave bride climbing fences to get the shot. I could have stayed there all day with them!

We then headed off to The Wild Duck Inn in Portglenone, for a twinkly reception in their Riverside Suite, with its original exposed brick walls with cosy open fire and elegantly draped ceiling, keeping with the feel of their rustic theme. Followed by an evening of music, epic dancing and I'm sure plenty of laughs into the wee hours!

Looking forward to a few more McElhatton cousin weddings, this year and next. Here is Shauna & Paddy's story from the bridal preparations to the first dance!! Bridal Inspiration right here.
